We captured Viji’s maternity pictures around Christmas, 2018 and in February, 2019 we did baby Dhruva’s lifestyle newborn session. Both sessions were done at the comfort of their home.

“For Maternity we were not sure how the pictures would come out as we were doing the photo shoot at home. With your creativity the pictures came out beautiful so we were confident for the newborn session. Our only concern was the duration and how my first son would be during the photoshoot. Knowing you from the Maternity session helped us to be more relaxed for the newborn session. As you were patient and not rushing us we felt relaxed, took our time and the outcome was some beautiful striking memories captured when we lived our life”
Meet baby Dhruva, 28 days old at the time of session:
The couple chose the name Dhruva because they wanted to keep it short and simple. It was also the name of a lead character in a popular movie.
Tips from Girish and Viji:
#1: “Just be relaxed and enjoy the experience. Having too much preparation can derail your mood if things doesn’t go as planned”
#2: “Kids energy levels go up and down. It’s OK for them to be in a different mood and sometimes they may not cooperate no matter what. Just focus on other things and they will come back in high spirits for more pictures.”
For newborn the family wanted to highlight the baby so they chose the teal color for baby and lighter shades for everyone else. Grandma is in a traditional saree.
I am not a black & white portraits photographer but sometimes, adding black & white effects could make the emotion of the images so much stronger!

I thank my clients for giving me the opportunity to deliver two types of family portrait styles to them. The maternity session was done studio style under strobe light. The newborn session was done lifestyle under natural light. Each has its unique features and I am glad my clients get to experience both. Congratulations once more on their new bundle of joy!
